We firmly believe that it is our duty to protect the environment for sustainable tourism and our responsibility to preserve rather than spoil our natural treasures for the benefit of future generations.

As Matrix Travel, we have contributed important work of several environmental organisations. The Friends of Conservation (FOC) and Turkish Marine Environment Protection Association (Turmepa) are some of them.

In 1991 Friends of Conservation (FOC) together with member of the travel industry, established the Travel and Tourism Conservation Group (TTCG). FOC works closely with tour operators on programs to protect the natural environment and minimize the adverse impact sometimes caused by a large number of tourists. The program helps to finance projects around the world and promotes sound ecotourism practices.

Friends of Conservation, together with the member of the TTCG, designed and implemented the Conservation Code, a leaflet of informative and practical guidelines, to show visitors how to help minimize their impact on their holiday destination.
